March 16, 2012 Overall Rating: When i went to Aspen, new york pizza was the way to go as far as good food for a low price. When i knew there were opening one in El jebel i was so happy! At first food was great. But now, since the staff has changed food is a little less than ok. The crust on the pizza is always super hard and sometimes more than half is burnt. When i call to order i am often put on hold, and the girl answering is also rude. And dont even think of going in to pick up your pizza. Even when there is almost no one there you have to wait to be waited on cause whoever is there, is always snobby and ignores you! I mean its like they are doing you a huge favor or something. I try to avoid this place now. Customer service is horrid. Pizza has gone bad.
January 20, 2012 Overall Rating: I dont know when I have ever had a better time watching a football game on sunday throwing back TWO DOLLAR BEERS!! All said and done after the game I had a great buzz a full stomach and had only spent about twenty dollars.
November 25, 2011 Overall Rating: I've eaten at New York Pizza in Aspen over the years many times and it has a reputation so when visiting in November, I had occasion to eat at the El Jebel locale several times and wanted to review. In fact, I thought I HAD already done this review and just realized that it never posted for some reason. I tried pizza, calzone and salad on three separate occasions and times and the service and food were excellent each time. I enjoyed being able to sit at the bar and watch my food being prepared and know that the ingredients were fresh in appearance and the cooking area spotless. The employees enjoy a camaraderie that made for an enjoyable meal each time and the food was hot, fresh and tasty each time. I look forward to enjoying more of New York pizza when I am in the area again soon.
July 12, 2011 Overall Rating: So sad, 30 dollars for a pizza barely cooked it looked and felt more like an openface calzone. Shocking that domino's can do a 10 dollar pizza for amazing better quality....not what I would have expected. Have been eating New York pizza in Aspen for the past 14 yrs...shame on el jebel.....the cook is where is matters and whom ever cooked my pizza and garlic bread must be having a bad day as my food was shockingly bad.....trying to salvage it in my oven now!!!!
February 16, 2011 Overall Rating: Hailing from the Philly region of PA, i was very excited about your Philly when you 1st opened. The bun, the amount of cheese & onion, the lack of overly greasyness was very nice. The last couple times I have been disapointed. Do i detect canned mushrooms? Very greasy & the bun is so soft now, you can hardly pick it up with out everything spilling out. Please bring back the old one!

August 15, 2010 Overall Rating: I was so excited to have a chance to visit a real New York stile pizzeria locally! I told my kids how good NY pizza is, which is not easy for me to do since I'm a Red Sox fan! Suffice to say all hopes were dashed. The distinctive NY crispy crust tomato sauce flavor was nowhere to be found. I get mad every time I drive by,which is almost every day.
July 18, 2010 Overall Rating: Nyp's product is far better in Aspen...crispier crust and really good tomato sauce. We ordered the same pizza we buy at White House Pizza in Carbondale. I'd recommend you go to Aspen or half the distance to Carbondale for the real deal. If you want to try something different order the takeout pizza at White House...you cook it at home. it's one of the best freaking pizzas I've ever had...and I'm originally from Boston and lived in NYC for four years where there's a pizza shop on every block. U cook the take this pizza home and cook it in ur oven.
June 7, 2010 Overall Rating: A real disappointment. The pizza wasn't very good at all; in fact, my daughter refused to eat it and I had to make her a frozen pizza; no lie.
April 8, 2010 Overall Rating: Do not make the mistake of eating here! I ordered pizza last night, and first of all the customer service was horrible. The lady on the phone was snooty and rude. The delivery took over an hour!I live five minutes away from the place too! Then when the pizza came it was horrible. The sauce tasted like week old spaghetti sauce made by a chimp! There is no seasoning on the pizza whatsoever! The topping did not taste fresh at all. The crust was ok but still a bit too chewy. On top of horrible service and bad tasting pizza, two large pizzas were 49.00 dollars. This is robbery. The only good part of it was the late driver was nice. please don't go here for good of mankind!
