This new Mexican restaurant in downtown Basalt opened April 2015.  It's sure to be a hit to diner's that miss Taqueria Napal as the former chef Alejandro Reyes from the former Taqueria el Nopal is heading the kitchen at La Cocina Del Valle.

What started at the weekly meeting on small business management led by the Manaus Fundfounder George Stranahan turned into a life changing experience.

A group of hard working parent mentors became a COOP and turned their dreams of opening their own food business into reality. With the help of entrepreneur and community leader George Stranahan,the story of COCINA DEL VALLE started behind the closed doors of a room filled with opportunity and in 2014 entered the world of catering.

Small steps led to bigger ones and finally this establishment was born!!!We are now a Restaurant serving
